A new overwater accommodation style to be called The Captain Bligh Lagoon Resort and Spa is to be developed in Aitutaki Cook Islands.

Currently Aitutaki Lagoon has around 4 resorts, plus approximately 25 additional accommodation options ranging from self-catering villas and beach houses to budget huts, guest houses and B&B.

The proposed new resort will have over half its accommodation suites sited over the calm turquoise blue waters of the Aitutaki Lagoon. It will also offer a unique small island retreat for those seeking that greater amount of privacy and luxury. The Captain Bligh will offer the comforts of a 5-star fine-dining restaurant, conference facilities and bar.
